
Recently we had a client come to us who had already gone unconditional on a house purchase. Unfortunately the client's bank had not given an initial approval in writing prior to them making an offer. Subsequently the bank declined the client's purchase approval leaving them in a stressful position of having to find finance on a house they had legally committed to. We swung into action and obtained a finance approval just in time for the client to settle by the deadline and move into their new home. It pays to be extremely careful in any unconditional offer and seek impartial advice at the start of your home buying journey.
